Louis A. Smith, 80 of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Unit, Chatman Boulevard, Brooksville. He was born in Jackson, KY;, and moved to this area 42 years ago from Tampa. Mr Smith was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Smith of Brooksville and Richard Smith of Floral City; two daughters, Debbie Kern of Land O Lakes and Laurie Smith of Spring Hill; a brother, J.C. Smith of ST. Petersburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Louis will be sadly missed by all who new him. |

Michael Stephen Reed, 50, of Land O Lakes, passed way Monday, November 12, 2007, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1957, in Albany GA. He was a graduate of Leto High School. He spent his career in the fire sprinkler industry with the last 23 years at Astec Fire. Mike volunteered his time with his daugher and sons ball teams, from Little League to travel ball to high school. Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bowhunting and fishing with family members and friends. He was a past president and life member of the Flordia Bowhunters Council. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Dawn Perry Reed, whom he married May 28, 1988; daughter, Kylie L. of Land O Lakes; son, Dallas M. of Land O Lakes; stepson, Eric M. of Ashville, Ohio; father, Dallas F. Reed of Tampa; sister Debbie & (David) Schrantz, of New Port Richey; and brother, Mark & (Kelly) Reed, of Buford, GA. He has 25 nieces and nephews, and nine great-nices and great nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. |

Charles Augustus Dotson, 79, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007, at his residence under the care of hospice. He was born April 25, 1928, in McGuffery, Ohio, the son of the late Berlie F. Dotson and Betty Prater Dotson. He was a fire sprinkler fitter since 1964 and a local resident since 1974 having lived in Lima, Ohio and Margate. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Spencer Dotson; children: Ann Adams of Charleston, W.V.; Carol Gomez of Oxnard, CA; Sue Weddle of Toledo, Ohio; Gilbert Dotson of Coloma, Mich.; and Barry Dotson of Fort Lauderdale; sisters Irene Collins and Velma Scott both od Lima, Ohio; Virginia Swisher of Pueblo, Colo.; and Berniece Cochran of Calhoun, GA; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Allen Edward Stratton, 78, of Orange Park, FL., he went home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2007, in Orange Park, Florida. He was a sprinkler fitter by trade and was a dedicated member of the Sprinkler Fitters Local 821 for over 50 years. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Callie Stratton; three daughters, Carol Batts (Les), Myrtie Stratton (Kirk), and Ruby Stratton; two sons, Larry Stratton (Cheri), and Michael Stratton (Diane); 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many other loving faimly members and friends. Mr Stratton was a devoted husband, father, grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him. |

2007, at St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Charles, MO.. He was born in Bloomington. He was a member of Local Union 821 for 17 years. He attended Gateway Church of the Nazarene in Bridgeton, MO.. Survivors include his mother, Billie R. Scott, Bloomington; three sisters, Karen Hull, Farmer City; Sheryl Scott, Normal; and Kimberly Scott, Bloomington; four nieces and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; and infant sister, Sharon; and his grandparents. Kevin always had a quick smile and is now at peace. |

Raymond L. "Billy" Norris, 79, of Land O' Lakes, Passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at University Community Hospital. He was born in Madison, FL., and moved to Land O' Lakes from Tampa in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Local 821 Sprinkler Fitters Union for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Deloris; daughter Karen & (Curtis) Dupree, of Navarre Beach, FL.; grandson Bryan Hamlin of Jacksonville, FL.; brothers, Donald and Johnny, both of Madison; and sisters, Gussie Smith of Greenville, FL.;

Arthur Benjamin "AB" Hammonds, 77, of Panama City, FL., passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 11, 2007, in a local hospital. He was born in Dade City, FL., raised in Hiland Park, FL., and attended Kinaid High School. Brother Hammonds retired from the commercial fire protection industry in 1989, and moved to Pananma City from Davie, FL. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, a charter member of Sprinkler Fitters Local 821, and a
superintendent for 28 years for Fred McGilvray Inc. of Miami. Brother Hammonds is survived by his son, Arthur Brian Hammonds and wife, Pamela E.; brother-in-law, Daniel Marusik of Bonita Springs, FL.; and 5 grandchildren. He was a great attribute to the Local and will be greatly missed by all who had the chance to have known him. |

Otis O. Garvin "Red", 92, Tampa, FL, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006. Mr. Garvin was preseded in death by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Ann Garvin; and son, William Charles Garvin. Survivors include his wife, Helen Garvin; his daughter, Judy M. Fowble and husband, Robert; his sons, Alfred Garvin and wife, Sandra and Ronald Garvin; stepdaughters, Doreen Caton and Denyse Leepack and her husband, Irving; stepson, Dewayne Wheaton; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was an avid camper and member of a pioneer family on the Interbay area. He joined the Union on December 12, 1952. His presence will be greatly missed. |

He entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 24, 2006 in Marianna. He leaves a lifetime of love and precious memories to be cherished by a loving family: His mother, Sandra R. Davis and her husband Robert of Marianns; his father Dale Gammons and wife Mary of Marianna; two brothers, Erik Gammons and Terrance Davis, both of Marianna; four sisters, Robin Davis of Marianna, Shameka Holden of North Carolina, Toya Long and Maria Long, both of Marianna; and other family members and close friends. He joined the Local as an Apprentice, on May 1, 2006. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Maurice Ray Reeves, passed away April 8, 2006 from Lung Cancer. He was born in Valdosta GA., and lived in Arcadia, FL. for most of his life moving to Glennville 20 yrs. ago. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Reeves of Glennville, Ga.; Daughter, Leslie Reeves of Winston Salem, NC.; step sons, James spoon of Glennville; Jamie Davis of Keene, NH.; 2 grandchildern; Three Sisters and several Nieces and Nephews. He joined the Local in July of 1969. He will be greatly missed. |
